On the news, or on the radio, or in the newspaper we sometimes hear horrible news, like the death of 20 children and 6 adults, in Sandy Hook Elementary School, for example. The news of a man killing so many innocent people are hard to believe in or even imagine. However, what if I say that around 30 millions of people around the world are dying too. They are not dying from bullets, but their bodies and souls are dying from oppression of other humans because these people are in slavery. Modern slavery, just like any other slavery throughout our history, kills dreams, hopes, potentials, and lives of millions of people. Today, there are many different kinds of slavery. Everyone agreed that sex trafficking or any other type of human tra fficking is slavery, but not everyone fully understands that it is happening in the world they live in and in their own countries too. Trafficking is one of the main six types of slavery in today’s world. The main difference of it from other kinds is that it is a transportation of people into new regions, cities, and countries for a purpose of forcing them to work against their own will (â€Å"Anti-slavery†). Human trafficking has a lot of different kinds of people for different purposes. Men and boys usually trafficked into hard labor jobs or some agricultural work, while women and girls trafficked into sex industry, like prostitution and other sexual exploitations (â€Å"Soroptimist†). Sex trafficking is a big problem that shouldn’t be forgotten because 79% of all human trafficking is sexual exploitation (Sandeep, Le Pichon, and Me 6). More than 2.5 million of people became the victims of sex trafficking, worldwide. According to U.S. Department of Justice, there are 1.4 million people in the U.S. who were the victims of sex trafficking. It is shocking that in the country of bright drea ms and hopes, someone does such dirty and evil business. There are a lot of different examples of crushed dreams and hopes.
